"Congress was in power when 26/11 took place and it questions our surgical strikes in Pakistan"

New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Nov 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Rajasthan and will be addressing multiple rallies one after the other. Congress President Rahul Gandhi is also in Rajasthan and will be addressing rallies too. The Rajasthan elections will be held on December 7 and the votes counted on December 11. Both Congress and BJP don't want to leave anything to chance as both the parties are hopeful of a miracle.

While the Congress is riding high on anti-incumbency votes, BJP thinks it has regained some lost grounds in the last phase of the campaign.

Attacking Congress Prime Minister Narendra Modi said during a rally in Rajasthan's Bhilwara on Monday, "The Congress was in power when the Mumbai attacks took place but questioned the BJP government's surgical strikes in Pakistan."
The prime minister was addressing an election rally on the tenth anniversary of the 26/11 terror strike when 10 Pakistani terrorists sneaked into Mumbai, killing 166 people over 60 hours.

Hitting out at the Congress, the prime minister said the party doubted his government's surgical strikes, conducted in September 2016. But will commandos carry cameras to provide proof, he asked.

"The whole world was shaken today(26/11), and Congress back then was giving lessons in patriotism. When the Army carried out surgical strike the country felt proud but the Congress raised questions on it, demanded video proof," said PM Modi in Bhilwara.

Modi said his government had responded to terrorists and Naxals in their own language.
The prime minister added that the Congress calls Naxals revolutionaries and then issues them certificates.
"Did you ever hear that I took a holiday? Did you ever hear I went somewhere for leisure or was missing for a week? I give an account of each and every decision I take and the work that I do," PM Narendra Modi in Bhilwara.
